I love Facebook, that's established. Love it so much in fact, that I started to do many crazy things. Most of it involving Facebook statuses. You know, the one where you post a status(usually containing questions or challenges), somebody go and "like" it and you have to do that particular challenge. Like this.
It was very silly. I was worried about the 4th "like" but I was absolutely sure there will be only 3 "likes" since I figured that nobody would be brave enough to go for the fourth one. I closed my laptop, took a sip of my cold Milo and watched the news on the TV. After a few moments, I went and check my Facebook. You know what I saw?
It was a full house. Somebody did become the 4th person and it was my friend, Fauziah. Meaning, a week of "in a relationship" with her. I could just say "Haha.Nda payah la baitu.Main-main saja" and go on with life. Sadly, my curiosity got the best of me (I want to see people's reaction) and also for the fact that she challenged "Bah,request bah kalo berani.Ni malam ah". And thus, inilah yang terjadi. Jeng jeng jeng.
On my side(FB profile), people didn't pay much attention. 5 "likes" and 6 comments only. It's probably due to the fact that my friends know that this was only a practical joke, or that I was not popular in Facebook. Either way, the same cannot be said when I look at Fauziah's profile.
My goodness, people took this more seriously on her side. I mean, just look at the figures. My coursemates, her friends and much more. Seeing this, I wanted to stop this nonsense as soon as possible (takut jadi lebih serius) but dammit, I just can't help laughing at the comments. Maybe leave it just a little bit longer?
And then, there was this one girl. The one I like to call batu api, and her name is Caroline.
Over time, my conscience and hers got the best of us.I just can't imagine if we went on for a week. I mean, what if both Fauziah and I have secret admirers (perasan) ? One thing's for sure is that both of us will surely kena potong markah. Nobody wants that, right? In the end, both of us agreed to end this nonsense after less than 24 hours.
Life goes on and I made a promise to myself that I will never play this "Facebook-like-nonsense" again. Ever. Not in a thousand years. I definitely learnt my lesson.
A thousand years pass by without us noticing.
